It's no longer politics that's polarized, it's reality. My big shtick is that the Breitbart Doctrine doesn't go far enough (or the most important part was deliberately left unsaid).
The Breitbart Doctrine is the idea that politics is downstream from culture. Change someone's culture, and you change their politics.
I think that politics is downstream from culture, but culture is downstream from reality. Change someone's reality, you change their culture and their politics. You change someone's reality by skewing their perception of it. That's why it's impossible to have a debate with MAGAe: We don't operate in the same worlds anymore.
