I'm a professional legal blogger and content writer and I got a free trial of the AI copywriting program Jasper. For me, the telltale sign of AI-written content, and its biggest flaw, is its inability to *delve*, which I think is where you're going with your first criticism. Jasper would give me the super basic, generalized, big picture version of a legal issue, but then when I prodded it to pick apart some of the issues or write about their exceptions and maybe provide some nuance, it basically broke.
